Highland-based Glenmorangie distillery has officially announced the launch of its oldest core expression to date — Glenmorangie The Thirty. Aged for 30 years, this single malt perfectly showcases the distillery's mastery of maturation. Bottled at 43% ABV, it artfully combines classic ex-Bourbon casks with rare spirit finished for an extended period in Burgundy red wine casks, embodying the brand's spirit of excellence and innovation.

Led by Director of Whisky Creation Dr Bill Lumsden, the Glenmorangie team utilized the distillery's signature tall stills to create an elegant and light base spirit. Dr Bill infused Glenmorangie The Thirty with immense depth using his expertise in wood management. Two-thirds of the liquid underwent secondary maturation in Burgundy red wine casks for over 15 years, reflecting his passion for French wine regions while successfully balancing the distillery's signature spicy character.

Time Meets Alchemy: A Luxurious Presentation of Flavor and Vision

This whisky offers enchanting aromas of chocolate truffles, cherries, and honeycomb, while the palate reveals rich layers of ripe peach, cantaloupe, and candied orange peel. The packaging features a deep purple hue echoing the luxury of Burgundy wine, accented with copper details symbolizing the stills. Dr Bill Lumsden stated that this release is the result of time and alchemy, selecting only premium casks that have stood the test of time—a celebration of imagination and thirty years of extraordinary craft.
