Glenmorangie Relaunches Lasanta Single Malt Whisky

Glenmorangie today announced the relaunch of its core series Lasanta single malt whisky. The new Glenmorangie Lasanta (43% ABV) is now labeled as a 15-year-old single malt Scotch whisky, matured in bourbon and sherry casks.

Glenmorangie's Whisky Creation Director Dr. Bill Lumsden and Master Blender Gillian Macdonald believe that by extending the aging time and optimizing the cask recipe, the complexity of the whisky can be further enhanced.

The new Glenmorangie Lasanta is said to feature aromas of mead, honeycomb, walnuts, charcoal, carnations, flowering currants, chocolate raisins, toast, and toffee. The palate offers layers of Brazil nuts in toffee, molasses, charcoal, cinnamon, cloves, leather, oak tannins, and dark chocolate.

Dr. Bill Lumsden stated at the launch event: 'Glenmorangie Lasanta, with its rich spices and intense sweetness, showcases the enchanting charm of a sunset and has long been a favorite among Glenmorangie fans. Now, this whisky, aged for 15 years in selected bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, has been enhanced with more complex and elegant flavors, with all elements perfectly balanced.'
