Consignment - Seller's Guide

Alcohol Please (AP) understands that every bottle in your collection carries both value and a story. Our mission is to provide you with a platform featuring clear processes and a vast base of whisky enthusiasts- ensuring a smooth transfer of value for your collection. In this service- AP focuses on acting as a neutral process manager- dedicated to providing a fair and transparent trading system where every step is orderly and traceable.
To ensure service quality and manage workload during the initial phase- we currently only accept applications from customers who have had transaction records with AP (based on website and messaging app records) before February 1- 2026.

- Prepare Data - Take clear- square photos of the actual item and prepare the Whiskybase ID for website upload.
- Listing and Pricing - Set your own price- AP charges a tiered commission of 7% - 15% based on the set price.
- Item Delivery - Once a buyer places an order and completes payment- please deliver the item to the AP Showroom within 7 working days.
- Fast Payment - After AP verifies the item matches the listing photos- we will arrange the bank transfer to you within 2 working days.
- Seller Responsibility - The delivered item must be the 'exact same bottle' as shown in the photos. If there is any discrepancy- the transaction will be cancelled.
Below are the detailed instructions for becoming our consignment seller. Please read them carefully.
Step 1 - Prepare Your Listing Data
Clear and accurate information is the first step toward a successful sale. Please prepare your bottle information according to the following requirements.
1. Photo Requirements
Click the button below to go to the upload page. All photos must be square (1-1 ratio)- clear- and accurately reflect the true condition of the product. After uploading- please notify us via WhatsApp and provide the price and Whiskybase ID.

Front and Back of Bottle - If there is an original box- please photograph the bottle and box together. Ensure both front and back labels are clearly visible.

Vertical Water Level - If the above images do not clearly show the fill level- please place the bottle vertically and take a photo showing the water level clearly. If your bottle is a ceramic or non-transparent design- please contact us directly.

Seal and Capsule Close-up - Take a close-up of the bottle top to clearly display the integrity of the Seal and Foil Capsule.

Bottle Code - If applicable- please photograph the laser code or batch number on the bottle. If you do not wish to disclose the Bottle Number (e.g. xxx / 350)- please mask it yourself.

Defect Close-ups - This is mandatory. If the product has any defects (e.g. scratches or stains on the label- creases or damage to the box)- you must provide close-up photos of these areas.
2. Product Information
To ensure standardization and accuracy- we strongly recommend providing the Whiskybase ID for the bottle.
After submission- our system will automatically retrieve basic information (such as distillery- vintage- ABV- etc.) based on this ID. Therefore- please double-check that the ID you provide is accurate.
Step 2 - Understand Fees and Pricing
1. Free Pricing Principle

As a neutral intermediary platform- AP believes in free market principles. Please decide the consignment price for your bottle yourself.

We will not interfere with your pricing- but please ensure the price is within a reasonable range.
2. Commission Structure
We use a tiered commission rate - the higher the sale price- the lower the commission rate- rewarding high-value consignments.

Step 3 - Sales and Delivery Process

Obtain Consignment Number - After your item is successfully listed- it will receive a unique Consignment Number for easy tracking and communication.

Buyer Inquiries - When a buyer expresses interest in purchasing a consignment item- we will contact you to confirm if it is still available.

Buyer Order - Once confirmed- the item will be temporarily hidden. When a buyer confirms the purchase and completes payment- we will notify you immediately.

Item Delivery - Within seven working days after receiving our notification- please ship or personally deliver the item to our Kowloon Bay Showroom. After AP receives and inspects the item- payment will be arranged to the seller within two working days.

Inventory Update Obligation - We understand your collection may be listed on multiple platforms. If an item is sold elsewhere or is no longer available- please notify us immediately for removal. Failing to notify us more than once- affecting transactions- may impact your future listing eligibility.

Information Modification - Before an item is sold- you can contact us at any time to modify the price or add supplementary photos.
Step 4 - Seller Responsibilities and Platform Protection
1. Product Warranty and Liability

Item Consistency - You must ensure the bottle finally delivered is the exact same bottle as provided in the listing photos. Any discrepancy will result in transaction cancellation- and you must retrieve the item yourself.

Ownership Warranty - By listing an item- you warrant that you have legal and complete ownership- the source is legal- and there are no legal disputes.

Information Accuracy - You warrant that all photos and information provided (including condition descriptions) are true and accurate.

Indemnification - You are responsible for any losses incurred by the platform or buyer due to false information provided by you.

Shipping Risk - You bear all risks (including damage- leakage- or loss) during transport to the AP Showroom. Please ensure proper packaging.
2. Platform Rights and Protection

Disclaimer - AP does not independently verify the liquid inside or the authenticity of the bottle- nor are we responsible for the information you provide.

Platform Rights - AP reserves the absolute right to refuse or remove any listing for any reason (including but not limited to poor condition- suspicion of counterfeit- incomplete information- or poor seller history).

Cooperation with Law Enforcement - If requested by law enforcement- AP has the right to remove listings- cooperate with investigations by providing your personal info- and freeze related funds until the matter is clarified.

Privacy Protection - Except for law enforcement requests- we will keep your personal identity completely confidential and will not share it with buyers or unrelated third parties. All personal data is handled strictly in accordance with the Hong Kong 'Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance'.
