Benromach 單一麥芽威士忌推出 25 年為核心系列最高年份 | Benromach unveils 25YO as its oldest core whisky

Benromach Launches 25 Year Old as Oldest Core Expression

Matured in Bourbon and Sherry Casks, 46% ABV Non-Chill-Filtered Delivers Signature Character

Speyside distillery Benromach has announced the addition of a 25-year-old single malt whisky to its core range, making it the oldest regular expression in the lineup. This follows the addition of a 12-year-old expression to the core portfolio last month, joining the existing 15-year-old and 21-year-old bottlings to further solidify the core range structure.

As the oldest expression in the range, this Benromach single malt has been fully matured in bourbon and sherry casks. The distillery bottles it at 46% ABV without chill filtration, preserving the original texture and flavor layers developed through prolonged maturation.

Berry and Toffee Notes Intertwine with a Refined Oak Finish

On the palate, the whisky delivers rich aromas of forest berries accompanied by toffee apple and the distillery's signature subtle smoke. The palate reveals flavors of raisins and sweet orange, leading into tropical fruit notes, while the long finish brings out nuances of dried banana and mature oak.

Dedicated to Traditional Handcrafted Distilling, Gordon & MacPhail Continues Century-Old Craft

Stuart Urquhart, Operations Director and fourth-generation family member at Gordon & MacPhail, noted that the extended maturation period imparts a rich, fruit-forward, and complex character to the whisky, while still retaining Benromach's signature gentle smokiness. He also emphasized that this entirely handcrafted whisky marks a significant new milestone for the distillery.

Originally founded in 1898, Benromach was acquired by Gordon & MacPhail in 1993 and underwent extensive restoration before resuming production in 1998. The distillery refreshed its brand identity in 2020, continuing its dedication to traditional, handcrafted single malt whisky making.
