Exquisite High-Age Stocks and Masterful Blending

The Blue Hanger 14th Edition is bottled at 45.6% ABV and is a meticulously crafted Scotch whisky. The composition is highly selective, comprising only seven casks: six ex-Bourbon hogsheads and one ex-Sherry butt. The age of these stocks is significant, with the youngest component having matured for at least 26 years. Through expert blending, this small-batch release showcases unique layers of flavor, continuing the brand's elegant tradition while offering collectors a brand-new sensory experience.

The Blue Hanger series is named after the 18th-century aristocrat William “Blue” Hanger (the 3rd Lord Coleraine), a loyal customer of Berry Bros & Rudd known for his impeccable style and signature blue attire. Originally created in 1934 for the diplomatic export market, the brand disappeared for decades until it was revived in 2003 by then-Spirits Manager Doug McIvor. Today, the mantle of this legendary series has been passed to the current Spirits Curator, Felix Dear, who has successfully brought it back to glory after more than a decade.

Felix Dear noted that Blue Hanger has been part of Berry Bros & Rudd's history since 1934, and since its 2003 revival, every edition has been highly anticipated and quickly sold out. During the long hiatus, the call from global enthusiasts never ceased. The 14th Edition is a response to those passionate supporters, utilizing exceptional high-age malt whiskies to ensure the quality honors its historic name.
