Renowned British wine and spirit merchant Berry Bros. & Rudd has officially announced its 2026 Odyssey collection, titled "The Auld and the Bold." This collection features a total of 20 single-cask spirits from various distilleries, encompassing whisky, rum, and armagnac, and is slated for an exclusive release in mid-July at their St James’s Street shop in London, capturing the attention of spirit enthusiasts worldwide.

Continuing the spirit of the Odyssey series first launched in 2024, this year's theme focuses on exploring the close connection between traditional Scottish whisky-making and a new generation of distilleries around the world. Felix Dear, spirits curator for the merchant, stated that this collection perfectly blends historical heritage with a spirit of innovation, paying tribute to classic Scotch whisky while showcasing the unique perspectives and exquisite craftsmanship of emerging regions across the globe.

A Strong Lineup of Scottish Classics and Rare Single Casks

The lineup of Scottish expressions featured this release is robust, spanning a wide variety of styles and vintages, including the exceptionally rare Glenlossie 1975 and a Blair Athol finished in a Viognier cask. Additionally, the collection includes single-cask offerings from renowned Scotch distilleries such as Glencadam, Longmorn, Glen Garioch, and Tamdhu, alongside peated expressions from Caol Ila, Williamson, and Ruadh Mhor.

Diverse Profiles Spanning Emerging Global Regions

Beyond traditional Scottish flavors, this series also ventures into several emerging spirit regions worldwide, including Lark from Australia, Paul John from India, Thomson from New Zealand, Spirit of Yorkshire from the UK, Thy from Denmark, and Teerenpeli from Finland. Furthermore, the collection features top-tier rums from the Caribbean such as Foursquare, Diamond, and Caroni, as well as a 35-year-old Frapin Armagnac from France, fully showcasing the diverse landscape of global spirits culture.
