키안티 지역에 위치함에도 불구하고, 라 마사(La Massa)는 현지 DOCG 규정(산지오베제 비율 80% 요구)을 의도적으로 무시합니다. 대신 DOCG 명칭을 포기하고 높은 비율의 까베르네 소비뇽과 메를로를 사용하여 보르도 스타일의 와인을 고수합니다.
라 마사는 단 두 가지 와인만을 생산하며, 조르지오 프리모(Giorgio Primo)는 이들의 플래그십 와인입니다. 이 와인은 1993년부터 2001년까지 연속으로 감베로 로쏘(Gambero Rosso) 최고 등급인 트레 비께리(Tre Bicchieri, 세 개의 잔)를 수상했으며, 슈퍼 투스칸의 일원으로 인정받고 있습니다.

This standout wine brings Fattoria la Massa to a new level of accomplishment and opens an exciting new chapter of possibility. The 2013 Giorgio Primo is dark and impenetrable on first impact. The aromas accelerate slowly and grow evenly in power and intensity after a few quick swirls of the glass. The bouquet peels back with dark fruit aromas, baking spice and Mediterranean herb. The effect is seamless and smooth. A velvety texture is accented by full-bodied richness and just enough freshness to keep the palate energized.
