남부 론에서 가장 명성 높은 곳은 단연 샤토뇌프 뒤 파프(Chateauneuf-du-Pape)입니다.
일반적으로 그르나슈를 주력으로 사용하며 쉬라즈(Syrah)와 무르베드르(Mourvedre)를 블렌딩하거나 법적으로 허용된 10여 가지의 다른 품종을 사용합니다.

Domaine Charvin은 여전히 매우 전통적인 방식으로 와인을 양조하며, 필터링이나 제경(줄기 제거) 작업을 하지 않습니다. 또한 일반적인 와이너리와 달리, Domaine Charvin은 오크 통을 전혀 사용하지 않고, 전체 숙성 과정을 콘크리트 탱크에서만 진행합니다.
이는 오크 향에 가려지지 않도록 와인 본연의 향과 풍부한 과실미를 보존하기 위함입니다.

Domaine Charvin의 수령은 평균 50년이 넘습니다.

Dark crimson. Sweet, lifted, lightly jammy nose. Sweet elderberry flavours. Very focused with firm tannins. Dry finish.

When to drink: 2018 – 2030

More backward and concentrated, the wine exhibits a dark ruby/purple color as well as dense, black raspberry, black currant, garrigue, licorice and lavender characteristics. Full-bodied with undeniable elegance, minerality and precision, it needs 2-3 years of cellaring and should keep well for 15-20. This small, 20-acre estate owned by the Charvin family is located in the northwest sector of the Chateauneuf du Pape appellation. It has long been one of my favorites for the elegance, purity and sensuality of the wines. 95+.
