----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tenuta di Trinoro has three wines in its Campo series (Green, Red, Blue labels) in addition to its eponymous flagship offering. All three use 100% Cabernet Franc, which is unusual. Green Campo di Tenaglia comes from the smallest of the three vineyards, only 0.8 hectares. Released in 2014, the 2015 is only its second vintage, yet it has received overwhelmingly positive reviews and high praise from critics. Deeper, bluer colour than the Magnacosta. Meatier nose than the Magnacosta. But tighter, grainier tannins in evidence. Very much set for the long term with structure dominating fruit until the very end. A bit like a particularly fine-boned St-Émilion? Very long and rich on the finish. Pretty glorious! Certainly very ambitious.
