Passopisciaro is owned by the same owner as Tenuta di Trinoro, but is located in Etna in southern Italy,
As the flagship wine of the winery, it uses Petit Verdot, a non-mainstream grape,
But every year Franchetti's results are quite good,
This one was commented as Bloody expensive by the JR team, and the works that cost more than a thousand silver in Vivino in neighboring years,

"100% Petit Verdot. Impenetrable purple ruby.
Really intense, complex black forest-fruit nose with a hint of vanilla.
Pretty oak and dense, fresh fruit palate. Fantastic tannins that coat the mouth. I
would drink this now! The alcohol you do not notice at all. Impressive balancing act. Bloody expensive! (WS)"
