Mollydooker, also known as 'left-hander', is a highly innovative winery in recent years. While not large in scale, it has received numerous awards & high scores.
Owners Sarah & Sparky previously worked as winemakers for renowned wineries like Henry's Drive and Shirvington, and were even awarded 'Australian Winemaker of the Year'.

Mollydooker is not only known for its distinctive labels and highly-rated wines, but also for its unique 'Mollydooker Shake'.
Most wineries inject Sulphur before bottling to protect the wine, but Mollydooker uses Nitrogen. This preserves the fruit aroma and reduces the likelihood of headaches or allergic reactions to Sulphur for some drinkers.
The process is simple- after opening, pour a small glass into the first wine glass. Seal the bottle, Shake Shake Shake. Open the cap to release some gas, reseal, and Shake Shake Shake again. Then, pour into the second wine glass and compare the difference. The second glass, after shaking, releases nitrogen which restores the wine's fruit aroma and vitality, softening the strong tannins.

You might wonder if a 2018 vintage is too young, but this wine has already achieved an exceptionally high score on Vivino. New World wines, especially those from Mollydooker that emphasize fruit complexity, possess a captivating charm even when young.
