--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Amarone della Valpolicella is unique due to its distinctive production method.
The harvested grapes undergo a drying process, removing moisture content to concentrate the sugars within the grapes.
This high sugar concentration facilitates fermentation to easily reach 14% or even 15%+ ABV, resulting in intense fruit flavors and a full body profile.
Because a significant amount of water is dried off, producing Amarone requires more than double the quantity of grapes compared to other wines.
Therefore, Amarone generally commands a higher price point.
