----------
The full name is Amarone della Valpolicella, located in Valpolicella.
It has a unique style due to its distinctive winemaking method.
Grapes are dried after harvesting, removing moisture to concentrate the sugar content.
Due to the high sugar content, it's easy to achieve 14% or even over 15% alcohol during fermentation, resulting in rich fruit flavors and a full body.
Also, because much of the water is removed by drying, more than double the grapes are needed for Amarone compared to other wines.
Therefore, Amarone is generally not inexpensive.

Online tasting notes for reference
"This is an extremely enjoyable wine with a dark, brooding personality and aromas of asphalt, black pepper, dark oak, molasses, exotic spice and dried currants.
The fruit is ripe but not jammy and maintains elegance and harmony throughout."
