Tomatin Launches Stillman’s Tour: A Highland Whisky Legend
Deep into the Heart of the Highlands: Tomatin Launches Immersive Tours and Rare Vintage Experiences
Located in the Scottish Highlands, Tomatin Distillery has launched a series of in-depth tours ahead of Father's Day, emphasizing precious time shared with family. The highlight is the all-new "Stillman’s Tour," led by veteran distiller David Milne, which takes visitors into the core production areas usually closed to the public. Participants gain a comprehensive understanding of the craft—from cask selection and filling to maturation—and get a close-up look at the historic still house and working warehouses. The experience concludes in the sensory room with a tasting of single malts curated by David. For designated drivers, the distillery thoughtfully provides "Driver’s Drams" to-go bottles, ensuring every guest can savor the spirits after their journey.

Immersive Craft Exploration: From History to Rare Cask Tastings
Beyond the new additions, the distillery offers a variety of immersive experiences. "The Legacy Tour" traces the distillery's history since its founding in 1897 and includes a tasting of the experimental brand Cù Bòcan. For enthusiasts, the "Warehouse 6 Tasting Experience" leads visitors into traditional dunnage warehouses to breathe in the aging spirit alongside decades-old casks, tasting directly from the wood. Additionally, visitors can participate in a bespoke experience, selecting rare spirits from 1975, 1977, or 1978 to hand-fill into a Glencairn Crystal decanter with custom engravings, creating a unique heirloom for special occasions.
An Award-Winning Producer: Centuries of Sustainable Craftsmanship
Formally established in 1897, Tomatin has garnered numerous international awards in recent years. The distillery was named "Scotch Whisky Producer of the Year" and "Sustainable Distillery of the Year" by the IWSC, while its 36 Year Old earned "Best in Show" at the SFWSC, cementing its place among the world's elite whiskies. Tomatin's dedication to wood quality is evident in its rare on-site cooperage, where master cooper Allan Bartlett was recognized as Cooper of the Year. Owned by Japan's Takara Shuzo International, the distillery perfectly embodies its "To What Matters" philosophy, celebrating the moments that truly count in life.
