Three Cents & Telford Enter China's Premium Mixer Market
Strategic Expansion in Asia: Greek Premium Soda Enters China's Bar Scene
Athens-based premium mixer brand Three Cents has officially announced a partnership with Telford Wine & Spirits Shanghai, marking a new chapter in its expansion into Mainland China. This distribution partnership, launched in April, introduces the brand's core range to China's on-trade channel, showcasing its ambition to deepen its presence in Asia.
Top-Tier Products and Major Guest Shifts Debut Simultaneously
The initial product lineup includes Tonic Water, Aegean Tonic, Two Cents Plain, Ginger Beer, and the globally acclaimed Pink Grapefruit Soda. To support the launch, Three Cents will collaborate with top bars from the World's 50 Best Bars list, including Coa, Hope & Sesame, and Cmyk, for guest shift events designed to showcase the brand's versatility to discerning drinkers.
Xingchen Qiu, Brand Manager at Telford Shanghai, noted that as cocktail culture thrives in China, demand for high-quality mixers has increased significantly. Telford's expertise in brand building will be key to growing Three Cents' influence in the region, marking another milestone for a brand already available in over 50 markets worldwide.
Capturing Modern Urban Drinking Trends
Three Cents co-founder George Bagos pointed out that young Chinese consumers are driving a modern and innovative urban cocktail culture, presenting an excellent opportunity for the premium mixer category. Following its expansion into Singapore and Hong Kong with Proof & Company last year, this move completes the brand's Asian footprint, aiming to lead the market with its flavor-forward tonics and sodas.
