Peak Sherry Cask Craftsmanship: Tamdhu's New Limited Releases Honor Speyside Festival and Railway History

Scottish Speyside distillery Tamdhu has announced the launch of two limited edition single malt whiskies at the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival. The releases, Tamdhu Distillery Team Single Cask Special and Tamdhu Dalbeallie 09, aim to showcase the distillery's ultimate pursuit of traditional sherry cask maturation.

Craftsmanship: Tamdhu Distillery Team Single Cask Special

The Tamdhu Distillery Team Single Cask Special was distilled in 2013 and matured in an American Oak Sherry Hogshead. Limited to 345 bottles at 58.9% ABV, it offers aromas of fresh raspberry, golden syrup, and white chocolate. The palate features berry and tropical fruit flavors accompanied by delicate spices, embodying the team's dedication.

Railway Heritage: Tamdhu Dalbeallie 09

The new Tamdhu Dalbeallie 09 is named after the restored station on the distillery grounds. Matured in hand-selected first-fill European Oak Sherry casks at 60.5% ABV and limited to 1,000 bottles, it features notes of chocolate, ginger, and marshmallow on the nose, transitioning into rich layers of toffee, oatmeal, and cranberry on the palate.

Distillery Manager Sandy McIntyre described these releases as the epitome of the distillery's craft. Brand Director Iain Weir emphasized that Tamdhu remains committed to using Oloroso Sherry casks across its entire range. Through the launch event at Dalbeallie Station, the distillery hopes to share the festive atmosphere and precious memories of Speyside with enthusiasts worldwide.
