Jura Feis Ile Limited Edition Single Cask Whisky Launched to Celebrate Annual Whisky Festival
Jura Whisky celebrates the 2025 Feis Ile whisky festival by releasing a limited edition of 300 bottles of single cask whisky, available exclusively to visitors on the Isle of Jura during the event. The festival brings together whisky enthusiasts worldwide to experience the distilling culture of Islay and Jura.
On May 30, Jura will host a series of activities at its seaside distillery, including distillery tours, tastings, live music, cocktail-making experiences, and coastal boat trips, allowing participants to immerse themselves in Jura's natural beauty and whisky-making heritage.
Distillery manager Kirsty Wright emphasized that this limited edition is a tribute to visitors who attend the festival, showcasing Jura whisky's unique fruity and balanced profile, perfect for sharing with friends and family. Master distiller Joe Ricketts revealed that the single cask features rare 2007 spirit aged in Oloroso sherry casks, offering notes of crystallized citrus, candied plums, roasted hazelnuts, with a finish of polished leather and dark chocolate.
The Isle of Jura, located on Scotland's west coast, is renowned for its secluded landscapes, with only one road, one pub, and the Jura distillery, established in 1810. After its reconstruction in 1963, the distillery has continued to produce single malt whisky using traditional methods, embodying the island's spirit.
This 17-year-old cask-strength whisky will be available exclusively at the Jura distillery from May 23 to 31, 2025, in 70cl bottles.
