Jackton Distillery Launches First RAER Single Malt Whisky

Scottish Rising Family Distillery Debut: Limited to 6,000 Precious Bottles

Located in Scotland's Lowland region near Glasgow, independent family distillery Jackton Distillery has officially unveiled its premier single malt whisky, "RAER Single Malt Scotch Whisky, The Inaugural Release". This release marks a major milestone since the Kean family filled their first casks in February 2020. Distilled, matured, and bottled entirely on-site at the distillery, this inaugural batch is strictly limited to 6,000 bottles worldwide, each featuring a unique, hand-written bottle number.

Founded by the Kean family on their home farm land, Jackton Distillery is led by Managing Director Jaynie Kean, one of Scotland's youngest female distillery founders, showcasing a unique female leadership style. Embracing an open and honest philosophy during the lengthy development process, the team actively invited visitors, industry experts, and whisky enthusiasts to taste early spirit samples and share professional feedback. To commemorate this shared journey of discovery, the distillery has printed the names of all contributors directly onto the outer packaging boxes as a tribute to their support.

Exquisite Cask Craftsmanship and Rich Flavor Layers

Crafted with meticulous cask selection, this expression skillfully marries whisky matured in Bourbon, Pedro Ximénez, Amontillado, and Oloroso casks. Bottled at an ABV of 48.7%, it proudly retains its natural color and is non-chill filtered. The palate is exceptionally rich and balanced, offering aromas of lush fruitcake, figs, and sultanas. The entry brings deep fruit, molasses, and toasted nuts, while the finish yields to toffee, sweet spices, and a delicate, gentle oak quality.

Situated on its own family farm, Jackton Distillery also offers distillery tours and accommodation experiences. Jaynie Kean notes that whisky should be inclusive—a space where seasoned connoisseurs and newcomers alike can explore and connect together.
