Glendronach Launches House Editions Travel Retail Series

New Peak of Sherry Craftsmanship: A Sensory Journey for Modern Travelers

Brown-Forman distillery Glendronach has announced the launch of a new series created exclusively for the Global Travel Retail (GTR) market: The Glendronach House Editions. Crafted by Master Blender Rachel Barrie, the collection features three distinct single malt whiskies. Originally previewed at the TFWA exhibition in Cannes, the series was officially unveiled at the Asia-Pacific summit in Singapore. These three expressions will become permanent members of the distillery's GTR lineup, standing alongside the existing 10-Year-Old and 16-Year-Old releases, demonstrating the brand's ongoing commitment to the travel retail sector.

The creative core of this new series is the "House of the Cultured Traveler," inspired by the lavish gatherings hosted by Glendronach founder James Allardice, where guests shared stories of their travels. The brand stated that the development process took over two years and serves as a celebration of the distillery's 200th anniversary. Feedback from numerous travelers and customers was incorporated to precisely capture the spirit of exploration sought by modern voyagers. Through the distillery's signature sherry cask maturation, each expression attempts to recreate the unique atmosphere and sensory characteristics of its named destination.

Three Exquisite Spaces: A Flavor Map from Seville to Paris

The Sevillian Room blends Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez (PX), and Palo Cortado sherry casks to create the spicy warmth of Seville, Spain, with notes of orange, honey, and Mediterranean spices. The Venetian Room utilizes Oloroso, PX, and Italian Amarone wine casks to showcase the romantic opulence of Venice, filled with flavors of cherry, blackcurrant, and chocolate hazelnut. The final expression, The Parisian Room, employs Oloroso, PX, and Cognac casks from French distilleries, presenting the elegance and sophistication of Paris with layers of honeyed grapes, figs, and French pastry-like indulgence.

To promote The Glendronach House Editions, Brown-Forman plans to engage consumers through immersive experiences at key global airports. The brand will first launch promotional activities in Paris, France, and Frankfurt, Germany, with plans to expand to Singapore, Seoul, Dubai, and Delhi starting this October. The products are expected to arrive at major European airports in July, followed by rollouts in Asia, India, and the Middle East, with full global market coverage planned by October 2026.
