Distilled in 1992 and personally placed into a single American white oak cask by Louis Filliers, this whisky stands as a witness to the family's exquisite craft heritage spanning over a century and marks the final classic masterpiece left from his distilling career.

Historical Transformation and Tribute to the Fourth Generation

This 34-year-aged cask holds significant historical value as the final barrel crafted during Louis Filliers' career and the last treasure left by the fourth generation of the family. During his leadership alongside his brother Carlos Filliers, Louis successfully guided the distillery through a transformation, focusing on elevating the product profile from its agricultural roots to refined, high-aged spirit production. This limited release is not only a tribute to Louis's vision but also highlights his central leadership role in shaping the modern Filliers Distillery.

Ultimate Craftsmanship: Cask Strength and Limited Flavor

Distilled from a blend of corn, rye, and malt, and aged for 34 years, this whisky was bottled in January 2026 at a cask strength of 52.3% ABV. Its aroma features smoked hazelnut and apricot; the palate intertwines delicate spices, soft tannins, freshly cut wood, and elderflower. As part of the Family Reserve series, this release commemorates the distillery's 145th anniversary and was officially unveiled at an event combining the culinary arts of renowned Belgian chefs, showcasing the family's pursuit of craftsmanship and excellence.

With only 111 bottles available worldwide, the Filliers Family Reserve 34YO is now officially on sale at selected retailers and Brussels Airport duty-free. The distillery maintains a diverse range, including its iconic Single Malt and Pedro Ximénez Cask Strength. Last year, they also launched the experimental Master Distiller Selection Orange Cask whisky, demonstrating their innovative spirit and commitment to providing diverse, high-quality choices for flavor explorers.
