Distilled on December 25, 1964, this whisky matured for a full sixty years in a single oak cask numbered Cask #50. Bottled at a precise strength of 42.3% ABV, this extremely rare high-age expression is strictly limited to just 200 bottles worldwide. Primarily drawing pure water from Loch Lomond and using corn as its raw material, it grew to become one of Scotland's largest grain distilleries, supplying essential core spirit for Ballantine's blended whisky. Although Dumbarton officially closed in 2002 and most of its buildings were demolished in 2008, its unique historical legacy and exquisite craftsmanship continue to endure through rare single-cask bottlings like this.
