Bruichladdich Unveils Fèis Ìle 2026 Limited Editions

Reshaping Legends and Experimental Craft: New Islay Festival Releases Announced

Located on Islay, Scotland, the Bruichladdich distillery has officially announced the launch of two limited-edition single malt whiskies tailored for the 2026 Islay Festival of Music and Malt (Fèis Ìle). These new releases, named Port Charlotte PC5 Redux and Octomore Black Art (OBA) Redux, demonstrate the distillery's innovative spirit in breaking traditional boundaries while paying profound homage to the long and rich historical culture of Islay whisky, offering global fans an unprecedented sensory experience and festive surprise.

Port Charlotte PC5 Redux: A Tribute to Resurrection History

Port Charlotte PC5 Redux is a heavily peated five-year-old single malt bottled at a powerful 63.5% ABV, fully matured in high-quality American oak casks. This expression holds significant historical value, serving as a sincere tribute to the first spirits distilled after the distillery's reopening 25 years ago and its first post-revival release. Master Blender Adam Hannett stated that this bottling perfectly captures the raw energy and vitality of heavily peated whisky in its early maturation, beautifully presenting signature sweet BBQ smoke and bright citrus notes under the subtle influence of oak.

Octomore Black Art Redux: A Fusion of Mystery and Power

The second standout release, Octomore Black Art (OBA) Redux (54.2% ABV), merges the mysterious qualities of the Black Art series with the intense yet nuanced power of Octomore. This experimental project, revived a decade after its initial debut, blends captivating floral elegance with tropical fruit sweetness. To enhance the joy of discovery, the distillery has intentionally kept the age and phenol levels (PPM) undisclosed, guiding enthusiasts to fully immerse themselves in a pure flavor journey and savor its architecturally exquisite, silky layers.

Rock’ndaal Festival: Celebrating Islay’s Cultural Heritage

As the annual Fèis Ìle festivities approach, Bruichladdich will host the Rock’ndaal Festival on May 24th in the distillery courtyard, featuring performances by renowned Scottish musicians like Nathan Evans & The SAINT PHNX Band and Tidelines. In addition to the two new releases—each limited to 2,500 bottles worldwide—the event will feature The Botanist Gin cocktails and local delicacies. This launch symbolizes the distillery's dedication to craft and its boundless creativity, injecting new life into this international celebration.
