Since its rebirth, the distillery has been dedicated to exploring the impact of different barley varieties on flavor and maintaining deep connections with the local agricultural community. This Old Skool expression is crafted using 100% Islay-grown barley, sourced from 14 local farms within nine miles of the distillery, perfectly embodying the brand's commitment to traceability and flavor exploration.
Vintage Aesthetics Meet Modern Sustainability
The bottle design is inspired by vintage labels from the 1980s, combined with modern sustainability principles. The bottle is made from approximately 60% recycled glass to reduce its environmental footprint. Bottled at 50% ABV, the aging process primarily utilized American oak Bourbon casks, blended with a small portion of first-fill Sauternes casks, adding deeper layers of complexity and rich fruitiness to the liquid.

Barley Sugar Sweetness and Complex Fruity Layers
Master Blender Adam Hannett notes that Old Skool honestly reflects the distillery's soul, retaining the signature barley sugar sweetness. The spirit reveals rich aromas of apricot, nectarine, and red plum, while the palate intertwines stewed pear, ripe apple, and fresh citrus, with layers of clove, ginger, and roasted almond. The finish exudes apricot jam and toasted coconut.
