The Strategic Vision of Emerging Distributor Chimera
Previously represented by Amber Beverage UK, the brands will now be managed by Chimera, founded in 2025 by former Amber Beverage Group CEO Seymour Ferreira and former COO Douglas Bratten. Ferreira emphasized the exceptional quality and distinctiveness of Arran and Lagg, stating they will actively expand their UK footprint and brand storytelling.
Lochranza and Lagg: Complementary Distillery Styles
The Isle of Arran features two complementary distilleries: Lochranza, which has produced Arran whisky since 1995, and Lagg, which opened in 2019 focusing on heavily peated styles. Recently, Arran 14 Year Old made its return in 2026, alongside the launch of a rare 30-year-old expression matured in sherry hogsheads from the distillery's early days.
Since its inception, Chimera has expanded rapidly, representing brands like Tarsier gin, vodka, and Sūpāsawā. Isle of Arran Distillers also expressed gratitude to the Amber Beverage UK team for their years of partnership and contribution to the brand's UK growth.
