Celebrating Distillery of the Year: Arran 14 Year Old Returns with New 30 Year Old

Isle of Arran Distillers recently announced the addition of two heavyweight members to its core Single Malt range. The beloved Arran 14 Year Old officially returns after a multi-year hiatus, while the distillery also debuts its first permanent Arran 30 Year Old expression. This launch coincides with the brand's 30th anniversary and its "Distillery of the Year" win at the Scottish Whisky Awards. The distillery has also updated its entire range with sustainable packaging, continuing the momentum since its 2019 rebranding.

Classic Return and Masterful Craftsmanship

The returning Arran 14 Year Old, originally debuted in 2010, reappears with a refined recipe. The spirit is primarily matured in Bourbon barrels before finishing in rare Palo Cortado Sherry casks. Bottled at 46% ABV, it remains non-chill-filtered and natural in color, offering notes of salted apple, toffee, and mango. Meanwhile, the flagship Arran 30 Year Old is crafted from rare Sherry Hogsheads from the distillery's earliest years, showcasing depth and evolution. Also bottled at 46% ABV, it represents the pinnacle of the distillery's high-age craftsmanship.

Sustainability and Packaging Innovation

Managing Director Euan Mitchell and Marketing Head Jaclyn McKie emphasized the commitment to sustainability alongside the new releases. The updated packaging features the Vista bottle made from 100% recycled glass, with FSC-certified paper used for labels and tubes. Additionally, Lochranza Distillery Manager Stewart Bowman's signature now appears on all packaging to reinforce brand credibility. These upgrades aim to elevate brand prestige through design and eco-conscious values. The new range is now available at global retailers and the Lochranza and Lagg visitor centers in Scotland.
