Product Details
'Roku' means 'six' in Japanese. This gin utilizes six carefully selected Japanese botanicals: Sakura flower, Sakura leaf, Sencha tea, Gyokuro tea, Japanese Yuzu, and Sansho pepper. Each botanical is harvested at its peak of maturity ('Shun') and distilled independently at Suntory's specialty distillery in Osaka to capture the purest aromas. These six Japanese elements blend seamlessly with eight traditional gin botanicals, including juniper and coriander, to create this unique craft masterpiece.

The legend of Roku Gin began with the dream of Suntory founder Shinjiro Torii. As early as 1936, Suntory launched its first Japanese gin, 'Hermes Gin', accumulating decades of distillation and blending expertise. The Roku bottle design is equally artisanal; the hexagonal shape reflects the name and the six Japanese botanicals. The label is made of traditional Echizen washi paper, featuring the calligraphy 'Roku' by renowned artist Tansetsu Ogino, showcasing Japanese aesthetics.
During production, Suntory's master blenders select different stills for each botanical. For example, vacuum distillation in stainless steel is used to preserve the fresh aroma of Yuzu, while traditional copper pot stills capture the delicate floral notes of Sakura. This extreme attention to detail embodies the Japanese 'Monozukuri' spirit. Whether enjoyed as a classic Gin & Tonic with ginger slices to enhance the Sansho spice or neat, Roku Gin lets you experience the flow of Japan's seasons in every sip.
