Product Details

'Roku' translates to '6' in Japanese. This gin features six specially selected Japanese botanicals: Sakura flower, Sakura leaf, Sencha tea, Gyokuro tea, Yuzu peel, and Sansho pepper. Each botanical is harvested at its 'Shun' (peak of maturity) and distilled independently at Suntory's specialized distillery in Osaka to capture the purest essence. These elements are blended with eight traditional gin botanicals like juniper and coriander to create this unique masterpiece.

Read More Brand Story

The legacy of Roku Gin began with the dream of Suntory founder Shinjiro Torii. As early as 1936, Suntory released 'Hermes Gin', building decades of expertise in distillation. The hexagonal bottle design reflects the brand name and the six Japanese botanicals. The label is made of traditional Echizen washi paper, featuring the calligraphy of Tansetsu Ogino, embodying Japanese aesthetics.

Suntory blenders use different stills for each botanical to preserve their character. For instance, vacuum distillation in stainless steel is used for Yuzu, while copper pot stills are used for the delicate Sakura. This attention to detail reflects the spirit of Japanese craftsmanship (Monozukuri). Whether enjoyed in a Gin & Tonic with ginger slices or neat, Roku Gin allows you to taste the flow of the Japanese seasons.
