---------------------
While Franschhoek in South Africa may not be as renowned as Stellenbosch or Paarl,
it is situated east of Stellenbosch and south of Paarl, positioning it as a coastal region,
and Franschhoek still produces many exceptional fine wines.
South African Bordeaux Blends and Sparkling wines have been particularly impressive recently,
with their climate, terroir, and techniques matching those of traditional Old World regions.
The Normandie Eisen & Viljoen stands out, not only for its exquisitely designed wax-sealed bottle
but also for achieving a high rating of 4.5 from numerous Vivino users—even surpassing many top-tier Bordeaux wines.

Tasting Notes Reference:
Colour:
Intense red velvet with deep ruby highlights.
Aroma:
A mix of red currant, raspberry, vanilla and pencil shavings at first. Rich complex aromas which intensify over time with balanced notes of oak and dark fruits.
Palate:
Concentrated, rich, young tannins on the mid palate with an abundance of ripe fruit, berries and nuances of tobacco speaks of a very serious wine right from the first taste.
Violets, mixed ripe fruits and sophisticated notes of tobacco integrates perfectly with flavours of oak and spice as the wine continues to reward with time in the glass.
A young, muscular, complex wine which will continue to reward beyond expectation with proper cellaring over the next decades.
