------------------
According to official information, this wine underwent whole bunch fermentation, was aged for 2 years in French barrels, and then required 6 years of bottle aging before release...
A total of 8 years, definitely a high-cost process, inconsistent with commercial practices.
Indeed, this wine cannot be found compared to recent vintages on Vivino, Wine-searcher, or Google.
It is a sincerely made product, and considering the tasting notes, scores, and price, its cost-performance ratio is quite good.

Wine Advocate (Joe Czerwinski): 94 pts

Produced from five vineyards up and down the valley and matured in a 3,000-liter foudre, the 2008 McNicol Shiraz offers up subtle hints of vanilla and baking spices, but those serve as mere accents to the intense mixed-berry fruit.

Medium to full-bodied, it's more generous than the Cabernet yet still silky in texture and fine and elegant on the finish.
