------------------
According to official data, this wine used whole bunch fermentation, aged in French barrels for 2 years, and then required 6 years of bottle aging before release to the market...
A total of 8 years, definitely high cost and not a commercial practice.
Indeed, this wine's recent vintages cannot be found on Vivino, Wine-searcher, or Google.
It is a sincere work, and considering the tasting notes, scores, and price, the value for money is quite good.

Produced from five vineyards up and down the valley and matured in a 3,000-liter foudre, the 2008 McNicol Shiraz offers up subtle hints of vanilla and baking spices, but those serve as mere accents to the intense mixed-berry fruit.
Medium to full-bodied, it's more generous than the Cabernet yet still silky in texture and fine and elegant on the finish.
