Read Brand Story
The Hibiki brand was launched in 1989 to commemorate Suntory's 90th anniversary. Its philosophy, 'living in harmony with people and nature', aims to reflect the essence of Japanese nature in whisky. The bottle design is highly intentional; its 24 facets represent the 'Sekki' (24 solar terms) of the traditional Japanese lunar calendar, symbolizing the flow of time during the maturation process.
During blending, the Chief Blender selects grain and malt whiskies aged over 17 years. The use of Mizunara (Japanese oak) imparts subtle notes of sandalwood and agarwood, a key signature that sets Japanese whisky apart globally. Due to aged stock shortages, Hibiki 17 was discontinued in 2018, making every remaining bottle incredibly rare and highly sought after in the secondary market. Whether for investment or celebrating life's milestones, it remains the ultimate choice.
