The Glendronach distillery is nestled in the Valley of Forgue in the East Highlands of Scotland, founded by James Allardice in 1826. For nearly two centuries, the distillery has adhered to tradition as one of the few in Scotland still focused on sherry cask maturation. The Glendronach style is famous for being 'rich, robust, and full-bodied', thanks to its unique still shapes and long low-temperature fermentation process, which gives the spirit excellent structure before it even enters the cask.
The legend of the 15 Years Old Revival lies in its historical evolution. Once hailed as the most representative expression of the Glendronach spirit, it was discontinued for several years due to the depletion of mature stocks. Under the guidance of Master Blender Rachel Barrie, this classic returned in 2018. The new version continues the PX and Oloroso dual-cask maturation, retaining the depth expected by long-time fans while adding a layer of finesse.
