Chateau Hosanna, meaning "applause of praise", is located in the heart of Pomerol on the Right Bank. It neighbors prestigious estates such as Chateau Petrus (the one owned by Donald Tsang), Chateau Lafleur, and Vieux Chateau Certan.
Chateau Hosanna is owned by Ets. Jean Pierre Moueix, the same proprietor of Chateau Petrus.
Pomerol is a very small appellation within Bordeaux, and Chateau Hosanna is a small estate within this small region, covering only 4.5 hectares with an annual production of approximately 18,000 bottles.
Despite lacking official classification and having a simple, unadorned label design, Chateau Hosanna is undoubtedly an estate worth experiencing on the Right Bank.
The 2011 vintage is considered an average year for the Right Bank, which allows for a relatively accessible price point.

Lovely restrained purity of dark fruit with the clarity and graphite note of Cabernet Franc singing out. Lovely mineral tension and freshness. Fine, fine yet smooth dry tannins. Vivacious in a conservative sort of way. Like well-cut cloth. A beautiful wine.
