TBWC Launches New Summer Limited Whisky Series

Summer Limited Whisky Series Combining Global Regions and Eco-Consciousness

Renowned independent bottler That Boutique-y Whisky Company (known as TBWC) has officially announced its new summer limited series, featuring seven carefully selected limited whisky bottlings. The core highlight of this series is a 21-year-old world whisky blend, while the other expressions cover Scotland's Islay, Speyside, and Highlands regions, as well as one of Scotland's largest single grain distilleries, showcasing a rich diversity of flavor profiles and regional characteristics.

As the flagship of this series, the TBWC 21 Year Old World Whisky Blend (45.8% ABV) builds on the success of the brand's classic world whisky blends. This expression blends high-quality whiskies from Scotland, Ireland, Canada, and Japan, finished in sherry casks. The label design was created by long-term collaborator Emily Chappell, a Glasgow-based artist who transformed the original floating globe into an ice ball melting into the whisky, conveying concern and reflection on climate change.

An Ultimate Collection Featuring Aged and Rare Cask Strengths

Alongside the highly anticipated world whisky blend, the summer series includes several highly collectible single malt and single grain whiskies. These feature a 17-year-old Bowmore, 12-year-old Inchgower and Clynelish available in both standard and cask strength editions, and a 35-year-old Girvan single grain whisky. These expressions are aged and finished in various casks such as refill bourbon barrels, re-charred hogsheads, and Pedro Ximénez sherry octaves, all in extremely limited quantities.

Commenting on the launch of this new series, Sam Simmons, Head of Whisky for the brand, stated that the core intention of the world whisky blend is to explore the flavor expressions resulting from the fusion of premium whiskies from different regions across the globe. The 21-year-old expression extends this concept to rare, older cask stocks, where 21 represents only the minimum age of the liquid, while the age of the oldest component remains a mystery. The entire summer series encompasses selections from several renowned distilleries, with special cask strength options, delivering a rich tasting experience for whisky enthusiasts.
