Back After a One-Year Hiatus: Speyside Welcomes Distilled 10th Anniversary Spirit Festival

The official Spirit of Speyside Festival organizers have announced that the highly anticipated Distilled spirits and craft beer event will make a powerful return in 2026, marking its 10th anniversary milestone. This two-day celebration is scheduled for September 11-12 at the Alexander Graham Bell Centre, UHI Moray in Elgin. Previously paused for a year due to extensive renovations at Elgin Town Hall, the return of Distilled is fantastic news for local spirits enthusiasts and the tourism industry alike.

The event will bring together over 20 top distilleries and producers from the Speyside region. Confirmed whisky brands include The Glenlivet, Aberlour, Gordon & MacPhail, Strathisla, Benriach, The GlenAllachie, and Cardhu. Organizers emphasize that Distilled showcases more than just whisky; it also features Gin and beer, with brands like Red Door and Byrons Gin joining the festivities to demonstrate the region's rich beverage-making expertise and craftsmanship.

To ensure a high-quality tasting experience, the event is divided into three sessions with strictly limited capacity per session. Visitors can choose a Discovery Pass to sample products at various stalls, or a Masterclass Pass which includes exclusive sessions with brands such as Glen Moray, Elixir Distillers, and Speyburn. Chairman Henry Angus noted that this gives visitors the chance to interact directly with the makers and blenders, experiencing the exceptional spirit and local culture of the Speyside region during this rare 10th-anniversary event.
