Royal Salute, the master specializing in aged Scotch whisky, proudly announces the launch of the third and final limited edition bottling in its renowned Kingdom Collection series_ Royal Salute 26 Year Old Colheita Port Cask Finish.
This novel whisky is the first Port Cask finished expression in Royal Salute's entire product line. It is designed to take whisky connoisseurs on a sensory journey, celebrating Royal Salute's royal heritage and drawing inspiration from the majestic Portuguese Kingdom of yesteryear. The Royal Salute brand was established in 1953 for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. This 26 Year Old whisky stands as a testament to timeless craftsmanship, paying homage to Portugal's glorious history, magnificent architecture, and vibrant culture.
At the heart of this new masterpiece is its unique maturation process. It utilizes a specially crafted blended whisky which undergoes final maturation in exceptional ex-Colheita Port oak casks. These casks were meticulously selected from a famous Portuguese wine estate in the Douro Valley, imparting sophisticated and profoundly rich flavors to the spirit. Royal Salute Master Blender Sandy Hyslop carefully balanced the sweet, dried fruit, and nutty nuances contributed by these casks, ultimately creating a unique profile of sweet berries and spicy characteristics.
Beyond the precious whisky itself, the Royal Salute 26 Year Old Colheita Port Cask Finish is presented in a luxurious, rich, and vibrant cobalt blue flagon.
