Chivas Regal has recently announced the launch of the limited-edition Chivas Regal 16 Blended Scotch Whisky, a collaboration developed with its global brand ambassador and Formula 1 (F1) driver, Charles Leclerc. This release marks a significant milestone, serving as both the brand's first 16-year-old blend and Leclerc's inaugural signature whisky. Crafted from 16 whiskies aged for at least 16 years, the age statement is a direct tribute to the iconic racing number Leclerc uses throughout his career.

During development, Charles Leclerc engaged in deep professional dialogue with Master Blender Sandy Hyslop. Leclerc personally visited the distillery in Scotland to experience the distillation and maturation process firsthand. Among various samples, he showed a strong preference for Longmorn Single Malt matured in Sherry Casks, which provides the blend with rich depth and complexity. Sandy Hyslop emphasized that Leclerc was not just a name on the bottle but was fully involved in blending decisions, challenging traditions to ensure the final product perfectly reflects both the brand spirit and his personal style.

A Sensory Intersection of Premium Liquid and High-Speed Passion

This collaboration offers an enticing sensory experience. On the nose, it features sweetness from citrus, raisins, and Manuka Honey, accompanied by the warmth of cinnamon and toffee. The palate opens with orange marmalade and apple cake, transitioning into toasted oak and ginger spice, with a smooth, lingering finish. The duo unveiled the expression on the eve of the Miami Grand Prix. While Leclerc and teammate Lewis Hamilton are focused on a competitive season, this crossover showcases his commitment to perfection, translating the intensity of the track into a mellow whisky profile.
