Unprecedented Double Sherry Cask Maturation

In terms of craftsmanship, this expression marks the first time the distillery has employed such a maturation technique. The spirit was initially matured in American oak Bourbon casks, followed by secondary maturation in both Manzanilla and Oloroso sherry casks. The aroma offers notes of vanilla, citrus, spicy dried fruits, and caramelized pears with a hint of sea salt; the palate blends crème brûlée, lemon zest, salted chocolate, and cinnamon, finishing with a balance of gentle sweetness and maritime brine, showcasing distinct layers of flavor.

Joining the Community to Witness Two Centuries of Maritime Legacy

Master Blender Sarah Burgess stated that the brand, often called the \"Manzanilla of the North,\" has perfectly fused its classic saltiness with rich sweetness through this double cask maturation. Furthermore, Distillery Manager Malcolm Waring announced an open day on June 20th, inviting Wick residents to visit the newly upgraded home of the brand.
