Master of Malt has announced the launch of a five-bottle limited edition whisky collection, timed to coincide with the upcoming summer of international football. The label designs are inspired by legendary kits from the Italia ’90 and France ’98 tournaments, created by in-house artists Ben McKeown and Chris Gunter. The series features whiskies from England, Scotland, and Ireland, showcasing the fusion of football culture and distillation craft as a tribute to world-class sporting history.

The Scottish Flagship: Rare Ben Nevis 27 Year Old

The flagship of the collection is the Ben Nevis 27 Year Old Single Malt, distilled in 1998 at the Ben Nevis Distillery in Fort William and matured in Refill and Refill PX casks. With only 129 bottles produced, it is the most collectible rarity in the series. Additionally, the collection includes a 12 Year Old Single Malt from a Highland Distillery, representing the purity and diversity of Scotland's highland profile.

Selection from England and Ireland

Beyond Scotland, the series includes fine spirits from England and Ireland. The Adnams 9 Year Old English Rye Whisky, matured in French oak wine casks, offers notes of orange cream and honey. The English Distillery 12 Year Old Single Malt showcases the rise of English whisky. While Ireland did not qualify for this summer's tournament, the brand selected an 8 Year Old Double Cask Irish Whiskey, blending liquid from red wine and first-fill Bourbon casks.

Sam Simmons, Head of Whisky at Master of Malt, stated that the collection aims to capture the breathtaking moments of football. The brand has been actively expanding its Independent Bottling program, and all releases in this series are bottled at Cask Strength, with ABVs ranging from 43.4% to 54%. As a key retail platform under the Atom Group, Master of Malt further solidifies its lead in the spirits market by combining cultural creativity with high-quality selection.
