查理斯三世現身 Holyrood 盛會 品飲獲獎 Rosebank 威士忌

King Charles III Tastes World's Best Rosebank 31YO Whisky

Royal Tasting: King Charles III Witnesses Rosebank 31 Year Old Crowned "World's Best Whisky"

His Majesty King Charles III recently attended an official reception at The Palace of Holyroodhouse. The event aimed to showcase Scotland’s entrepreneurial spirit and excellence in business innovation. During the event, King Charles III and Scotland’s First Minister John Swinney met with representatives from Ian Macleod Distillers and personally tasted the highly acclaimed Rosebank 31 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

Notably, this whisky recently secured the top honor of "Best Whisky in the World" at the prestigious 2025 San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC), widely regarded as the most authoritative competition in the industry. The reception brought together leaders from Scotland's core sectors, including Scotch whisky, Healthcare, and AI.

Industry Leaders Gather

Ian Macleod Distillers was represented by Managing Director & Chairman Leonard Russell, Head of International Business Development Tom Russell, and Brand Director for Rosebank and Glengoyne, Katy Muggeridge. During the meeting, Leonard Russell expressed that it was a great honor to introduce Rosebank—the crown jewel of their portfolio—to His Majesty.

The Legendary Revival of the "King of the Lowlands"

This significant Rosebank 31 Year Old was distilled before the Rosebank Distillery was forced to close in 1993, and has undergone a long maturation of over thirty years in refill casks. Founded in 1840 in Falkirk, the distillery remained silent for three decades until Ian Macleod Distillers undertook a massive restoration project, leading to the resumption of production on July 18, 2023.

With the distillery reopening to the public in June 2024, Rosebank has once again established its leadership in the Lowlands region. This event at Holyrood not only showcased the charm of top-tier whisky but also marked a significant milestone in the industrial revival of the Falkirk area, returning the "King of the Lowlands" to the global stage.
