Kilchoman Launches New 13-Year-Old Single Malt Whisky

Kilchoman Distillery, located on Scotland's Islay Island, has announced the release of a new limited-edition 13-year-old single malt whisky. Bottled at 50% ABV, this whisky is matured in a combination of bourbon, Octaves, and Calvados casks, showcasing rich fruit flavors, intense sweetness, and Islay's signature maritime peat smoke.

Kilchoman is a family-owned farm distillery founded by Anthony Wills in 2005, aiming to return to the traditional roots of whisky production. Following the success of their 16-year-old whisky, Anthony Wills expressed excitement about launching this 13-year-old expression. The bourbon casks provide Kilchoman's signature flavors, while the Calvados casks infuse the whisky with green apple and fresh fruit aromas, adding a delightful surprise.

Despite limited aging stock, Anthony Wills looks forward to sharing more Kilchoman expressions of varying ages with whisky enthusiasts in the coming years. The 13-year-old whisky will be available at select retailers later this month.
