Suntory Showcases Japanese Whisky at NYSE Event
Suntory was recently invited to the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) International Day event to showcase The House of Suntory’s global expansion and innovation to business leaders from over 21 countries. This event aimed to promote international dialogue and product displays.
Following a fireside talk with renowned chef Roze Traore, The House of Suntory hosted a reception at the Tontine House, the NYSE’s new private space. They offered special cocktails and featured whiskies including Toki Black, Hibiki Japanese Harmony, and Yamazaki 12 Year Old. Global Advocacy Manager James Bowker discussed the brand’s history and the importance of protecting the authenticity of Japanese whisky. President Masaki ‘Mory’ Morimoto then led a celebratory toast.
The next day, President Mory participated in a panel titled ‘The Executive Edge - Scaling Across Borders from Challenger to Champion’ with Quantexa CEO Vishal Marria and NYSE Chief Development Officer Chris Taylor. They discussed The House of Suntory’s global success and the definition of authentic Japanese whisky. Mory highlighted the global rise of the category and the brand’s role in maintaining integrity through craftsmanship. The event concluded with Mory joining a bell-ringing ceremony led by Cassandra Seier, Head of International Capital Markets at NYSE. A pop-up bar with a Toki highball machine was also featured on the trading floor.
