Heaven Hill Grain to Glass® Announces 2025 Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey
Heaven Hill Distillery® announced the second edition of its Grain to Glass Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey on June 24, 2025. This limited-release whiskey continues the series tradition, crafted by the largest family-owned distillery in the U.S. The small-batch whiskey is entirely produced at Heaven Hill Distillery®, showcasing the distillery’s commitment to transparency and craftsmanship.
The 2025 Grain to Glass Rye Whiskey features a mash bill of 63% rye, 20% corn, and 13% malted barley, with a higher rye content than Heaven Hill’s traditional rye whiskeys. The corn used is Beck’s Hybrids 6225, grown by family-owned Peterson Farms in Nelson County, Kentucky. The distillate entered the barrel at 107 proof and aged for over six years in Heaven Hill’s Cox’s Creek warehouses. Bottled at 105.2 proof (52.6% ABV) without chill filtration, the whiskey highlights its unique flavor profile. The finished product offers rich rye aromas with toasted oak and almond notes, a palate of creamy orange marmalade, chocolate, nutmeg, white pepper, and honey, and a long, warm finish with crème brûlée, charred oak, and orange oil.

The unique mash bill and higher rye content provide complex flavors, while transparency about the corn variety and barrel entry proof offers whiskey enthusiasts deeper insight into the production process.
The Grain to Glass series labels detail the corn variety, mash bill, distillation year, and bottling year, featuring a design inspired by Bernheim Distillery’s blueprint and illustrations celebrating agricultural tradition and innovation. The series reflects the Shapira family’s dedication to quality, transparency, and innovation, earning international accolades such as the 2024 Beverage Tasting Institute Gold Medal and the 2025 World Whiskies Awards’ Best American Rye Whiskey title.
