Hampden Estate 白冧酒推出 42% ABV 壺式蒸餾未陳釀 Fresh | Hampden Estate marks new era for White Rum with new release

Hampden Estate Fresh: 42% ABV Unaged Pot Still Rum

Blending Four Distinct Marks to Deliver Jamaican Pot Still High-Ester Flavor

Jamaican distillery Hampden Estate has announced the launch of an unaged pure single white rum, Hampden Estate Fresh. Centered on the raw flavor straight from the pot stills and bottled at 42% ABV, it is now available in limited quantities across the European market.

This new white rum release from Hampden Estate, Fresh, is distilled using traditional copper pot stills and crafted by blending four distinct marks from the distillery. In the distillery's daily rum-making tradition, the word "Fresh" has long referred to the new make spirit drawn directly from the stills without barrel aging. This expression aims to preserve the distillery's vibrant aromatic signature while offering a gentle 42% ABV for effortless application in modern bars and cocktail crafting.

High Ester Compounds Reshape Cocktail Aromatic Architecture

In terms of sensory performance, this white rum does not merely serve as a substitute for standard white rums; rather, its profound aromatic intensity reshapes the overall structure and balance of cocktails. Hampden Estate spirits are celebrated for their exceptionally high concentration of ester aroma compounds. From an olfactory perspective, Fresh exudes lush ripe and fermented fruit notes intertwined with pungent herbal and spice nuances, presenting an intricate complexity that transcends typical rum categories.

Rooted in Natural, Slow Fermentation Since 1753

The distinctive profile of this new release stems from Hampden Estate's brewing ecosystem rooted in 1753. At the distillery, sugarcane molasses fermentation is far more than a mere preliminary step to distillation; it is the vital foundation of the spirit's aromatic structure. Fermentation proceeds slowly, relying on naturally occurring wild yeasts to develop complex aromatic compounds. Moreover, production depends on the hot, humid climate of the local Trelawny valley and mineral-rich limestone spring water.

Historically, Jamaican rums have been classified into marks, with each mark representing an individual recipe for fermentation and distillation. As a result, the distillery possesses a diverse array of base spirits. Fresh brings together four distinct marks, translating centuries of accumulated fermentation and distillation expertise into mixology, providing bartenders with an exceptional new component that showcases unmistakable character in any drink.
