Named Glenkinchie 30 Year Old – A Richness of Swallows, this expression is bottled at a cask strength of 58.4%. It was matured for 28 years in American and European oak Refill casks before being married in European oak Puncheons. This unique aging process not only preserves the layers of the spirit but also imparts a rich and profound flavor profile.

Poetic Inspiration from the Migration of Swallows

The name is inspired by a story titled A Swallow’s Journey, written by distillery guide John Johnstone. It describes the migration of swallows from Africa to Scotland, symbolizing spring and new hope. Johnstone stated that this reflects the journey of the swallows and the slow maturation of the 30-year-old single malt. In terms of flavor, the whisky boasts a full body and silky mouthfeel, exhibiting perfumed fragrance and lemon-like acidity—a rare elegant balance for high-aged whiskies.
