Glengoyne Unveils Teapot Dram Series Batch 11

Glengoyne Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is proudly launching the highly anticipated 11th batch of its Teapot Dram series. This limited edition release, named Teapot Dram Batch No. 011, totals 3,000 bottles and is exclusively available from Glengoyne Distillery and its online shop as of November 20, 2025. The new expression is bottled at its natural cask strength of 59.7% ABV.

The Teapot Dram series draws inspiration from the distillery’s long-standing tradition where workers received three drams of whisky per shift during the 'dramming days'. At Glengoyne, these whiskies were sourced from first-fill sherry casks. Back then, some younger workers would pour their share into a copper teapot and place it on the lounge windowsill for older colleagues to enjoy. While the practice of providing on-site whisky for workers ceased in the 1970s, this heartwarming tale inspired this collectible limited edition whisky.

Glengoyne Distillery Manager Robbie Hughes personally oversaw the creation of Batch No. 011, ensuring it perfectly aligns with the historical tradition. This whisky has been matured entirely in first-fill sherry casks, including European oak sherry butts and hogsheads. The liquid is presented at its natural colour and is non-chill-filtered.

Glengoyne is owned by Ian Macleod Distillers, whose brand portfolio also includes Tamdhu and Rosebank. Glengoyne Distillery is renowned for its unique location situated on the Highland Line and its characteristically slow-distilled, unpeated single malt style. This release also caters to the ongoing market demand for premium cask strength whiskies with engaging brand stories. According to the brand’s official tasting notes, this expression presents aromas of dates, dark chocolate, lemon meringue, baked peaches, toasted nuts, dry sherry, and a whisper of incense. On the palate, flavors of cherry, strawberry ice cream, blackberry jam, gingerbread, Turkish delight, hazelnut praline, and dried apricots are present. The long finish offers notes of maraschino liqueur, Eton mess dessert, and summer berries.
