Glengoyne 18 & 21 Debut Fresh New Look - Scotch Whisky News
Glengoyne has recently introduced two newly packaged single malt whiskies, an 18-year-old and a 21-year-old, showcasing the brand's commitment to high-quality whisky and innovation.
The Glengoyne 18 Year Old is a Highland single malt whisky, matured for 18 years with a significant portion aged in Oloroso sherry casks, giving it a rich, round, and full-bodied taste. When tasted, one can perceive rich aromas of marzipan, leading to a long finish with a warm aftertaste.
The Glengoyne 21 Year Old Sherry Oak is matured exclusively in sherry casks, presenting a celebratory flavor profile reminiscent of a Christmas cake, filled with honey and rich fruit aromas, finishing with a gentle hint of cinnamon spice. Its color is a deep copper, with the liquid forming slow-moving legs on the side of the glass. On the nose, one can detect red apple, toffee, sherry, and the scent of crispy apple strudel. On the palate, the sherry influence is rich, accompanied by honey and oak notes, gradually developing into complex aromatic layers, and concluding with a heavenly cinnamon kick.
