Since its founding in 2000, Compass Box has gained global recognition for its unique blending techniques and rich storytelling. The Flaming Heart series, first introduced in 2006, has been celebrated for its bold peaty smokiness and the influence of French oak casks. This 25th-anniversary edition stands apart by exclusively using peated whisky and undergoing additional maturation in specially crafted French oak casks.

The whisky features ingredients from renowned distilleries such as Benrinnes, Talisker, Laphroaig, and Williamson Islay Malt. Tasting notes describe an aroma of oily smokiness layered with spices and fruity undertones, enhanced by maritime elements. On the palate, it offers a contrast of clove, pink and black pepper spiciness with fruity flavors, followed by a finish of smoke, wood, mint, and citrus.
The Flaming Heart series takes its name from M. Ward's 2001 folk-blues classic, with each edition inspired by different music, reflecting the rebellious spirit of rock and the bold character of whisky.
