Compass Box Launches Exclusive Limited Edition Whisky '5th & Harrison II' with K&L Wine Merchants
Compass Box and K&L Wine Merchants have teamed up once again to launch the exclusive limited edition whisky '5th & Harrison II'. This release marks a new chapter following the original '5th & Harrison' from ten years ago, meticulously crafted by Compass Box's Whisky Making Director James Saxon. The blend incorporates aged whiskies from Bowmore, Glendullan, and Caol Ila, alongside first-fill sherry and bourbon cask spirits, creating a complex and distinctive flavor profile.
The creation of '5th & Harrison II' was a challenging yet creative process. James Saxon and his team aimed to preserve the essence of the original while enhancing the whisky's depth and complexity. The aroma and taste of this whisky showcase a perfect balance of tropical fruits, sea salt, smoke, and woody notes, with a finish that reveals subtle hints of lemon oil, almonds, and tobacco.
To celebrate K&L's expansion into new markets, a sister whisky named 'Culver & Sepulveda' was also released. Both whiskies share the same base spirits but are named after the cities where K&L operates, reflecting the brand's love and homage to its roots.
