Clydeside Distillery 推出首款泥煤單一麥芽威士忌「Fortnight」

Clydeside Distillery Unveils First Peated Single Malt, Fortnight

Clydeside Distillery is delighted to announce the launch of Fortnight, its first peated single malt whisky, which now joins its core product line. The name Fortnight originates from the distillery's annual two-week production period, during which Clydeside Distillery switches its production to focus on peated spirit. This Fortnight whisky is crafted from 100% Scottish barley, with Highland peat used for malting. It has been matured in oak casks for over six years. The spirit has an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 46%, is non-chill filtered, and presented with its natural colour.

Official tasting notes from Clydeside Distillery describe its aroma as a gentle smokiness intertwined with notes of stone fruit and vanilla. The palate is characterized by bright citrus and heather honey, followed by a finish of warm spice and lingering peat. The introduction of Fortnight adds a new dimension to the distillery's portfolio, which has traditionally featured unpeated Lowland-style whiskies. Distillery Manager Alistair McDonald stated in the press release, "Fortnight captures an exciting contrasting moment in our annual calendar, bringing a new peated dimension to the classic Lowland style we have long aspired to explore." He added, "This whisky is a labor of love, crafted with the same precision and attention to detail that we imbue in every drop, and we are incredibly excited to share it with the world."

The release of this expression follows its limited edition Clydeside Velvet Odyssey, launched in collaboration with Glasgow venue SWG3 in June. The addition of Fortnight enriches Clydeside Distillery's core range, which already includes its inaugural releases Stobcross, matured in bourbon and sherry casks, and Napier single malt, fully matured in Oloroso sherry casks.
