Brave New Spirits Expands to US with Preiss Imports
Scottish independent bottler Brave New Spirits announced an exclusive partnership with California-based Preiss Imports - part of HPS Epicurean - which will become the sole importer for its single cask and small batch whiskies in the US. Starting in 2026, the deal brings the Cask Masters, Whisky Heroes, and 'Whisky of Voodoo' ranges to the American market.
Led by Henry Preiss and daughter Nikki Preiss, Preiss Imports was established in 2012 to focus on premium international spirits and wines. The company currently serves distributors in 48 US states.
The Preiss family has operated in the US beverage industry for over 50 years. Henry joined the business in 1974, following his father who founded the first import operation in 1961. Initial contact between the leaders occurred in August 2025 at the Spirits Selection event in Mexico, followed by a trade mission in November 2025.
Paul Dempsey of Brave New Spirits expressed excitement regarding Henry's experience and his connections to Campbeltown, where the Witchburn Distillery is being built. Henry Preiss was impressed by the forward-thinking marketing strategies of Brave New Spirits.
The first Cask Masters whiskies are expected to arrive in the US in the first quarter of 2026. Brave New Spirits plans to promote its lineup to American Scotch lovers through retail partnerships and festivals.
