Scottish Highland Single Estate Releases First Core Single Malt for 10th Anniversary

Family-owned Highland distillery Arbikie, situated in Angus, Scotland, has officially announced the launch of The Signature, the inaugural release in its core single malt whisky range. This single estate single malt Scotch whisky embodies a true "field-to-bottle" ethos and is limited to just 1,000 bottles worldwide, marking the 10th anniversary since the distillery filled its very first casks.

Estate-Grown Barley and Integrated On-Site Production

As a pure single estate whisky, The Signature is crafted exclusively from Odyssey barley grown on the Arbikie Estate farm. Every step of mashing, fermentation, distillation, cask maturation, and bottling is carried out on-site at the estate. The single malt comes in a 700ml bottle at 48% ABV.

On the palate and nose, the expression delivers a vibrant, fruity profile brimming with fresh peach, banana bread, and lemon sorbet, balanced by notes of brioche, apricot jam, silky clotted cream vanilla, and an enduring layer of spice.

Expressing Terroir and Diverse Distilling Craftsmanship

Iain Stirling, co-founder of Arbikie Highland Estate Distillery, emphasized that The Signature embodies the team's relentless pursuit since filling their inaugural casks a decade ago. He explained that the team never intended to release a single malt merely to satisfy market demand; instead, their goal was to ensure their debut expression genuinely reflects their family farm's terroir, distilling ethos, and field-to-bottle dedication.

Brothers Iain, John, and David Stirling founded Arbikie Distillery in 2013 on their family estate. Alongside this new whisky launch, the distillery has previously produced the climate-positive gin Nàdar, single-estate potato vodka, and Arbikie Highland Rye—the first rye whisky produced in Scotland in over a century. The distillery also previously released the non-age-statement single malt The Wild One and announced a 500-set vertical single malt release aging from 10 to 18 years.
